Barnes Rotary Drum Filter System

Inspecting a rotary drum permanent media drum filter precleaner installed on a Barnes International Kleenall Max 1500 GPM vacuum system before shipment to a large automotive manufacturer.  The rotary drum filter removes large chips before coolant flows to the vacuum system where they could cause a malfunction of the indexing system.

This is a good example of Barnes engineering department designing filter systems that provide many years of trouble free service.  For additional information please visit www.barnesintl.com

Barnes Immersed Drum Fabric Filters

Completing assembly work on a Barnes Model IM-3648 Immersed Drum Fabric Filter purchased by a prominent grinder manufacturer.  When finished, both systems will be shipped to a large automotive plant in Korea.

The filters will each provide approximately 100 GPM @ 45 PSI of 30 micron coolant to the grinding wheels and 8 - 10 GPM @ 1000 PSI of 10 micron coolant to the wheel scrubber systems.  Chiller systems rated at 120,000 BTU/HR will track ambient temperature and maintain coolant temperature at a precise set point.  Pump back units complete the system.

The patented design of the Barnes Immersed Drum Filter combines reliable high quality filtration with a very simple design created for easy maintenance and long life.  These are the features this forward thinking grinder builder demands from a filter system they can confidently put their name on and sell with their machines.

Look to Barnes International for engineered solutions for your filtration needs.  Visit us at www.barnesintl.com for additional information.

Barnes International New Addition Progress

Our building addition, after numerous weather delays, is back on schedule and nearing completion.

An old outside wall will soon be removed allowing access to the new area.  New cranes will be delivered soon and will be prepared for installation as soon as received.

When completed in early summer, this expansion will greatly expand our production capacity.

Another benefit will be the ability to load systems directly onto trucks after runoff without additional handling.

Accurate tracking is guaranteed allowing "just in time" part and sub assembly movement through the shop.

Part of our mission at Barnes International is on time delivery of a quality product.

Barnes Optional Shrink Wrap for Shipments

To insure the equipment is properly protected during transit, Barnes assemblers have the ability to shrink wrap machines for shipment.  The filter systems are completely encased with a copper base lined shrink wrap moisture barrier and shipped with a special desiccant to remove any residual moisture that may cause damage or corrosion.  This process which is designed to withstand 65 MPH wind is the same procedure used on military aircrafts.

Besides preventing damage during highway travel, this process protects the equipment while held in staging areas where wind, rain or even sandstorms can cause serious damage.

This extra effort insures that systems will be received at the users plant anywhere in the world in the same condition as when they left our factory.
